My biography
Born in London, I was raised in the small desert town of Ruwais, 250km west of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Here my creativity flourished, as I crafted imaginary worlds and brought them to life on paper. I have written stories for as long as I can remember, writing my first “book” at the age of eight.
I moved between a lot of different countries in the later part of my childhood, and the experiences from my unusual upbringing were the inspiration for my place-oriented pieces. Writing has always been a form of emotional release for me – like therapy.
While I had never considered writing a viable career, it was my mum who gave me the encouragement and support to pursue my dream of writing novels and becoming a published author one day. In 2018 I finished my Creative Writing MA and started crafting my portfolio.
Now I am writing my first novel and living back in Abu Dhabi. I also work on freelance writing projects and teach indoor cycling.
